The Druid Craft TarotRebirth – Seven of Wands – Two of Swords

Affirmation / Thought for the Day:  “There must be a few times in life when you stand at a precipice of a decision. When you know there will forever be a Before and an After…I knew there would be no turning back if I designated this moment as my own Prime Meridian from which everything else would be measured.”
~Justina Chen, North of Beautiful

Nothing will feel “settled” today as each situation or decision which presents itself will feel like a crossroads experience.

Flanked by Rebirth and the Two of Swords, The Seven of Wands presents the challenge/conflict, but clearly shows there is a resolution if you can only get a better view.  “Whatever the challenge, it is likely that you are able to gain a clear vantage point with which to view the situation and that you will succeed in what you are trying to achieve.  As each obstacle in life is negotiated, our knowledge and, hopefully, our wisdom increases.  Every problem solved brings a strengthening of our abilities or character.”  Many times we see this card energy as standing your ground and standing up for what you believe in.  Which holds true here as well, for any decision you are contemplating you want to be sure you are choosing for the right reasons, not the easy ones.

Rebirth -aka Judgement- is a call for change and renewal.  It suggests you have heard the call and changes are already taking place and now you have some decisions to make as to how you will proceed.  Is it a call of vocation, mission in life, or spiritual path you seek – or just a new direction you need to take?  Here is where the crossroads presents itself that will take your life in a new direction.  A transformation is called for – to rebirth into a life that is more fully your own and more fully at one with existence.

The Two of Swords shows a figure at a literal crossroads, but she wears a blindfold and cannot see her path clearly.  “This card may be indicating that you are struggling with a dilemma, and feeling unable to choose any one course of action – that you are procrastinating, wavering in your resolve, or are protecting your feelings by deliberately not facing the problem.  The card itself, though may be pointing to the need for diplomacy and negotiation.  The spiritual warrior needs to act with integrity, sensing when to confront, when to decide, and when to placate, calm or compromise.  Depending upon the individual circumstances, any one of these actions may be appropriate when relating to a conflict of ideas or relationships.”   The only way to see your way clearly, it by removing the blind fold.  It would seem this to be a very simple step, but, it is the most important step.

“When at a crossroads, my father was fond of saying “go with your gut.” “Intuition,” he said, “always has our best interests at heart.” It is a voice that can tell us who is friend and who is foe…Which ones to hold at arm’s length…And which ones to keep close. But too often, we become distracted by fear, doubt, our own stubborn hopes, and refuse to listen.”
